Well, the feedback from the concert in Bochum has been fantastic! Considering it very nearly didn't take place due to technical difficulties - will we ever be able thank Lambert of Spheric Music enough? - I can honestly say that despite the fact we weren't able to do some of the music in the way we'd planned - the reconfiguration meant I lost one of the laptops and sounds/sequence sources - everything went really well. One of the major disadvantages of playing in the dark is that you obviously can't see what you're doing, and for most of the 2+ hours we we're okay, but just to prove it really was live - my JP8000 solo in the final rhythmic section of walking with Ghosts was, er, interesting, when instead of changing the cutoff frequency, resonance and portamento time, I turned the wrongs sliders and dials to get a totally unexpected variation on the sound!
It was great to chat to people afterwards and I wish we could have talked longer to fans, some of whom had traveled from as far away as Moscow, but the late start meant a late finish. Also, sorry to those fans who had to leave before the end to catch trains and buses.
Sadly the Bochum concert wasn't recorded. However, all my tracks from the night will be available on CD and possibly DVD later in 2013 because they were recorded at previous events and I will be tweaking them in the studio. More news on that to follow.
