David Wright Volume 2 "Best of & Rarities" to be releasd in September 2011.

AD Music will be releasing a second David Wright "Best of" which is also being described as a "rarities" CD, containing some older reworked tracks, plus some music that has been released on download or for other compilations, plus some new material. This album is specifically targeting our New World Music distributors "new age" fan-base, but I'm sure em fans of my more melodic, drifting space music style will enjoy it. Here are details of the album.

1. Beneath the Surface (3:52)
Previously unreleased piano track

2. Romance '89 (5:51)
2009 re-recording of a popular track from 1989 release "Reflections".

3. Illusions (25:51)
Digital remaster of popular track from now deleted 1991 CD Between Realities.

4. Internal Reincarnation (26:27)
2011 track written with Neil "Geigertek" Fellowes. A version is available on the Bungay Bash limited edition CDr for 4th June, but this is a reworked and remixed version.

5. Depth from Motion (16:36)
Remixed version of the space music track from Sines of Life (Volume 2) download

New David Wright CD "In Search of Silence" coming soon.

Work on my new space music studio album "In Search of Silence" is coming along nicely. There have been some delays in recent months due to the distraction of the forthcoming electronic music event The Bungay Bash - rehearsals and local promotional work - plus the small matter of my heart problem. I'm also working on a Sci fi book soundtrack with US writer Matt Howarth, which I hope will be released towards the end of the year.

Back to "In Search of Silence"; this has been a fun album to do, not least because I've been rediscovering a lot of sounds from my hardware synths and relying less on the soft synths - not that there's anything wrong with the soft synths - they're still in evidence on the new album, but it is dominated by hardware synths this time round, including the Kurzweil PC3x, JP8000, JD990 and Karma Even my old 01W, 05rW and K4 had the cobwebs blown off them and used.

Musically I think this new album is a departure from recent works, I'd say that some of the music is structured in the same linear way I approached "Walking with Ghosts", but does include some improvised and drifting segments circa "Momentum".

I think it's probably fair to say that I've been less concerned about the "technical" this time during the writing and recording process and concentrated more on being spontaneous and creative. I'm pleased with the results so far and the album should be available for release end of July, beginning of August 2011. More details including tracks titles and soundbites will be available soon on the AD Music website.

Bungay Bash - Electronic Music and beer Festival update.

Full details about the Bungay Bash electronic music and beer festival are now posted on the AD Music website concert page and the AD Music blog pages. Tickets should be sent out soon to all those who have already ordered - there was apparently a delay at the Theatre getting them printed. We're all getting quite exited about it, although a lot of work still to be done. Code Indigo rehearsals start 16th May, while Callisto and solo rehearsals have already commenced.

I'll probably feature new music from "In Search of Silence" plus some old favorites from my space music catalogue on my set. We're putting a lot of emphasis and work into the lighting and graphics backdrops too. We hope to have two separate projectors with graphics on stage and on one side wall, so should be interesting.

The event is being filmed for DVD releases later in the year to fulfill a long outstanding ambition to get DVDs released for Code Indigo, Callisto, Geigertek and Me. The DVDs will feature some of the stunning high quality stage graphics we've used over the years along with concert footage and maybe even some interviews. AD Music is looking to release these towards the end of the year.
